Since their first public performance together in 1953, Hyden, KY natives Bobby and Sonny Osborne have perfected a signature sound marked by instrumental wizardry and riveting vocals. Nine-time winners of the Music City News Bluegrass Act of the Year (1971-1979) award, 1975 inductees into Bill Monroes Bluegrass Hall of Fame, and members of the International Bluegrass Music Association Hall of Honor since 1994, the Osbornes have had more records on the national charts than any other bluegrass band in history.
From their Tennessee anthem Rocky Top to their late-1990s album Dayton to Knoxville, the Osborne Brothers renderings on mandolin and five-string banjo continue to win the acclaim of critics and fans alikenearly half a century after their entry onto the bluegrass scene.
