Jubilee fans can catch a double dose of blues delight when Tutu Jones and Michael Burks deliver a twofer performance.

Both Jones and Burks are known as young blues geniuses, and each has been hard at work since an early age. Burks, recipient of the Albert King Award for most promising guitarist, jives with a unique musical recipe that blends blues, rock, ballads, soul, and R&B in songs like “Little Did I Know” and “Can You Feel It?”

Jones, who began his musical career as the 6-year-old drummer for his uncle’s band, descends from a line of talented blues musicians. His clean, fluent guitar licks and flirtation with traditional blues material consistently excite fans of blues and soul.

These performances of the Michael Burks Band and Tutu Jones were taped at the W.C. Handy Blues Festival in Henderson, KY.
