Virginia native Larry Stephenson ranks among the preeminent high lead-tenor singers in bluegrass music, having won the Male Vocalist (Contemporary) Award from the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America for 2001 and 2004. His voice and mandolin work have been featured on more than a dozen albums by artists such as Bill Harrell and the Virginians, the Bluegrass Cardinals, and the Bluegrass Band as well as his own recordings.

Backing up Stephenson’s vocal prowess is a group of talented, veteran musicians: The Larry Stephenson Band has been nominated as Vocal Group of the Year and Gospel Group of the Year multiple times by the SPBGMA. Band members include Richmond, KY native Randy Barnes (vocals and upright bass), formerly with Rhonda Vincent and the Rage; Aaron McDaris (vocals and banjo), who was nominated for the 2004 SPBGMA Banjo Player of the Year award; and Dustin Benson (vocals and guitar), who has played with Valerie Smith and Liberty Pike.
