The Kruger Brothers from Switzerland combine their love for traditional American folk and bluegrass music with a background in classical European music to produce their own brand of acoustic string music. New and old styles converge in their performance for Jubilee, recorded live at the 2005 River of Music Party in Owensboro.

The Kruger Brothers, featuring Jens on banjo and Uwe on guitar, have been performing professionally since 1973, developing their rich and unique approach to bluegrass through numerous performances and recordings. After playing together in various formations throughout Europe, the duo met bassist Joel Landsberg, a musician who shared their dedication to musical integrity and collaboration. Although each member of the group has earned fame for his individual skill, the group maintains that it is the interaction of the three together which makes the music so uniquely special.

The Krugers have performed regularly in the U.S. since 1997, including shows at Merlefest, the Doc Watson Music Fest, IBMA and the Oklahoma International Bluegrass Festival. Kruger Brothers performances are simultaneously exciting, calming, entertaining and spontaneous, demonstrating their joy for playing music.
