On this edition of Jubilee, Audie Blaylock and Redline revive the sound of traditional bluegrass music. Frontman Blaylock, who sings lead and plays guitar, spent more than 25 years as a sideman in other bluegrass bands before forming his own.

Hailing from a musical family, Blaylock joined the legendary Jimmy Martin and the Sunny Mountain Boys at age 19. He has also performed with Red Allen, the Lynn Morris Band, and Rhonda Vincent and the Rage. In 2004, he formed Redline with musicians who share his enthusiasm for pure bluegrass. Redline includes Evan Ward on banjo, Barry Reed on bass, and Patrick McAvinue on fiddle.

The band tours extensively, participating in bluegrass festivals all over the country, and brings new energy to traditional forms of music. This Jubilee performance includes a recent single, the upbeat and hopeful “Two Lonely Hearts.”
