On this episode of Jubilee, recorded at the 2008 Renfro Valley Bluegrass Music Festival, Vincent and her band, the Rage, return to the program for their fourth appearance performing a collection of bluegrass standards and original songs that is sure to please bluegrass fans old and new.
As a young girl growing up in the hills of Missouri, Vincent learned to play bluegrass in her familyís band, the Sally Mountain Show, moving from drums, to guitar, to fiddle and mandolin in a quick and adept manner. Developing into a talented singer, songwriter, and musician, she has since become one of the most highly regarded stars of bluegrass, winning the International Bluegrass Music Award for Female Vocalist on seven occasions.
Rhonda Vincent and The Rageís performance includes traditional bluegrass and contemporary selections, all of which display the talented energy of the band. The Rage features award-winning fiddle player Hunter Berry; well-known bassist Mickey Harris; guitarist Ben Helson; and banjo player and former Grascal Aaron McDaris.
