The Greencards began in 2003 in Austin, Texas. The group was founded by Englishman Eamon McLoughlin and Australians Kym Warner and Carol Young. Their progressive bluegrass sound found increasing acclaim, and their debut album, Movin' On, received some Texas awards The follow-up album Weather and Water was named one of the ten best bluegrass albums of 2005. In that same year, the group toured with Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson. McLoughlin left the band in 2009, and was replaced by Tyler Andal, a talented 22 year old fiddle player from White House, TN. Carl Miner, originally from Oregon, joined the group in May 2010, playing acoustic guitar. Now based in Nashville, Tennessee, the Greencards released their fifth studio album, The Brick Album, in 2011. The album features guest performances by Vince Gill and Sam Bush.
