A pair of sisters and a pair of brothers are the core of The Vespers, a folk band that started gaining buzz in 2010, not long after it formed. Lead vocalists Callie and Phoebe Cryar were raised in a musical family in Nashville, honing their skills by singing background vocals on Music Row. A chance meeting at a campfire jam brought them together with brothers Bruno and Taylor Jones. the brothers grew up listening to gritty Southern rock and their father's collection of soul music. The combination of honey sweet vocals and a broad arsenal of instruments, with everyone contributing to the songwriting, has resulted in an alternating haunting and effervescent sound that, for fans, is pure sibling revelry.
