Deborah Coleman

Deborah Coleman’s explosive guitar work and powerful vocals have established her as one of today’s hottest stars. Her superb performance at the 1999 W.C. Handy Blues Festival in Henderson, KY led Chris Morris of Billboard magazine to write that she “very effectively stole the scene.”

In her Jubilee performance, the former nurse and electrician turned blues guitar slinger demonstrates the unique style that has put her in a musical category all by herself.

Coleman’s recordings include her debut album, Takin’ a Stand; I Can’t Lose; Where Blues Begins; and Soft Place To Fall. The 2001 release of Livin’ on Love showed the breadth of her talents through her guitar playing, songwriting, and expressive vocals. More recently, she released her first live recording, Soul Be It!
