Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper with Audie Blaylock
Four-time winner of the IBMA’s Fiddle Player of the Year award and Grammy-nominated musician Michael Cleveland brings dynamic traditional bluegrass to the stage with his band, Flamekeeper. This incarnation also features IBMA award-winner Audie Blaylock on guitar and vocals. The ensemble performs with tight vocal harmonies, blistering instrumentals, and fiddle-and-banjo duets that echo the first-generation stars of bluegrass, bringing focused energy and much talent to traditional and original tunes while maintaining a light hearted and fun expression throughout.
The current lineup, featuring Jesse Brock on mandolin, Barry Reed on bass, and John Mark Batchelor on banjo, was recently awarded the IBMA’s Instrumental Group of the Year award for 2007.
With the release in 2006 of the award winning “Let ‘Er Go Boys,” Cleveland and company have performed throughout the year and will continue to tour the bluegrass circuit in the fall and winter of 2007. Their high-energy brand of bluegrass, together with their depth of experience and knowledge of the form, consistently entertain audiences around the country.
