Mike Holloway and the Bottom Line (#207)

The “southpaw from Arkansas” plays classic blues styles.

Mike Holloway and the Bottom Line bring impressive blues talent to the Jubilee stage.

Holloway has earned a stellar reputation backing up such artists as Magic Slim, B’nois King, and Debbie Davies. Known as the “southpaw from Arkansas” and influenced by such blues heavyweights as Z.Z. Hill, Jimmy Reed, and the three Kings (Albert, B.B., and Freddie), he ranges from traditional Delta blues to Texas shuffles. His upside-down, left-handed guitar playing is an amazing visual addition to his sonic mastery.

After a career-threatening accident, Holloway came back with Ridin’ This Train, a 14-song collection featuring several special guests. He also was named the 2001 Music City Blues Guitarist of the Year.
