Pam Gadd and the Long Road (#220)

Pam Gadd shows why she is regarded as one of the finest singers in contemporary bluegrass.

Pam Gadd has been lauded by critics as “one of the finest voices in the business today,” and that praise doesn’t even take into account her mastery of the five-string banjo and acoustic guitar.

Gadd’s Jubilee performance was taped at the 1999 Festival of the Bluegrass at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington and showcases her “gritty, bluesy, honky tonk-style vocals.”

A recent Long Road release entitled Time of Our Lives, featuring Marty Stuart on mandolin, Randy Scruggs on guitar, and Glen Duncan on fiddle, shows off Gadd’s songwriting talent and vocals and has been called her greatest success yet.
