The Bluegrass Legends (#307)
Authentic old-time bluegrass played by veterans of the scene.
Fans of old-time, authentic bluegrass can enjoy a sampling by some of the genres best as the Bluegrass Legends take the Jubilee stage.
Headlining the group are two of bluegrass musics true veterans, Carlos Brock and Noah Crase. Brock played with icon Sonny Osborne when Osborne launched his career in Dayton, OH, then toured as a member of Bill Monroes famed Blue Grass Boys in the 1950s. The original banjo player with the Boys from Indiana, Crase also played banjo with Monroe in the 50s.
Rounding out the group are three high-caliber bluegrass talents who are well known in the Dayton area: Clarence Kelly on mandolin and guitar, Clarence Baker on guitar, and Wanda Baker on bass.
The groups performance of traditional bluegrass favorites was recorded at the Osborne Brothers Hometown Festival in Hyden, KY.
