Roger McGuinn (#318)

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Byrds founder returns to his acoustic roots.

Roger McGuinn, founding member of the legendary rock band the Byrds, taught America to tap its toes to Dylan. And while his roots are in folk music, rock ’n’ roll is where he made his name, ultimately achieving the status of rock icon. On his Jubilee performance, McGuinn proves that he has not forgotten his past and that he can still shine just as brightly as a solo acoustic/folk performer.

Recorded at the Kentucky Folk Festival in Bardstown, McGuinn demonstrates why he is known as the de facto master of the 12-string guitar, delighting the audience with a rich blend of tunes.
