Food Trucks for a Cause, Main Street

Ten percent of all proceeds go to a different charity each week.
DATE: Fridays until Oct. 31 (except Oct. 10)

A Night of Comedy with Lee Cruse and Friends

Cost: $15 at the door or $14 online. Sponsored by the Oleika Shriners to raise money for the Shriners Hospital For Children's Transportation Fund.

Bluegrass Autism Walk

Cost: $20 for adults, $15 for children (includes T-shirt). The 2K walk at Whitaker Bank Ball Park will raise funds to support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families in Central Kentucky. This annual event features a silent auction, agency and vendor fair, and many family-friendly activities. Sponsored by the Autism Society of the Bluegrass.

Gala in the Garden

The Friends of the Arboretum is hosting the 10th annual Gala in the Garden at The Arboretum, State Botanical Garden of Kentucky. Features hors d'oeuvres, drinks and desserts, live entertainment and a silent auction to benefit The Arboretum Legacy Campaign for Phase 2 of the Dorotha Smith Oatts Visitor Center and the planned Woodland Shade Garden in the Home Demonstration Garden. Cost: $50 per person through August 25 ($60 thereafter); $35 for those under age 35.

LOCATION: 100 Midland Avenue, Lexington

Walk for Down Syndrome

Cost: $15 per person (includes T-shirt). The 1.25 mile walk in downtown Lexington will raise funds to support DSACK's mission and raise awareness for individuals with Down syndrome living in Central and Eastern Kentucky. This annual event featuring silent and live auctions, raffle, and family-friendly activities including face and hair painting, music, dancing, inflatables, and more.
