Countdown to Kindergarten: Nature Scavenger Hunt Bingo at McConnell Springs Park

The Conrad-Caldwell House Museum Kids Craft Workshop

We'll read books from the Victorian era and make crafts that children who grew up in Victorian Louisville might have done in their own summer vacations. This session we will making paper fans and top hats. The cost is $10 per child. Parents are asked to stay with their children throughout the workshop.

Free admission for kindergartener in Countdown to Kindergarten shirt. Additional tickets for family members are at the group discounted rate of $7 a person. Countdown to Kindergarten: Dance into Kindergarten

Free to kindergarteners and their parents, as well as school-aged siblings. Children will witness and participate in an active lecture demonstration by the Lexington Ballet artistic director Luis Dominguez and the Lexington Ballet dancers. Give your child the chance to have a first lesson with a demonstration from the professional company. The professional dancers will interact, guide and encourage students. Braille for the Sighted: Workshops for Young People

Learn the basics of braille and practice writing on a braille slate and a braillewriter. Advanced students will learn more about braille contractions and whole word signs, as well as how to write music and do math with braille.
