Program Guidelines
Nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, independent producers, government agencies, and others who share and value KET’s mission are invited to submit Kentucky-centered programs to be considered for broadcast on the Kentucky Channel. KET KY—now airing 24 hours a day, seven days a week—features programming by, for, and about Kentuckians. Digital broadcast is available statewide, with growing cable delivery. Here’s just some of what you’ll find:
- Extensive live coverage of the Kentucky General Assembly
- Arts, history, health, music, and documentary programs

- Programs from independent producers
- Overnight block feeds of instructional and professional development programming for recording by P-12 Kentucky schools
KET KY is on channel 3 of KET’s digital broadcast service, available throughout Kentucky. The Kentucky Channel airs in standard definition.
KET KY is available as a free service to any cable system in Kentucky. KET KY is available to satellite system operators serving Kentucky viewers. Check with your dish network operator for information.
Kentucky Muse | Encore Presentation: Ellis Wilson—So Much To Paint
Follows the career of Kentucky native Ellis Wilson (1899-1977), an African-American artist whose passion for painting took him from his hometown of Mayfield to a successful career in New York. His work captured the daily lives of African Americans and helped open doors for many younger black artists. This update of a 2000 KET documentary includes a look at Ellis Wilson works discovered since the program's premiere. 58 minutes.
