Feb. 4/5: Program 1710—Dave helps feed and tend the residents of Newport Aquarium's Penguin Palooza in a chilly "Dave Does It!" segment. Also, we learn about an artesian well in Metcalfe County; visit Vendome Copper and Brass Works in Jefferson County; take a trip to the Knott County community of Mousie; and explore the contributions of Kentucky's soldiers in the War of 1812.

Feb. 11/12: Program 1711—Western Kentucky pecans, the Payne-Desha House in Scott County, the Orphan Brigade at the Battle of Shiloh, and a profile of Kentucky character actor Harry Dean Stanton.

Feb. 18/19: Program 1712—A canoe trip down the Little Sandy River, historic Springfield, Kentucky's 13 remaining covered bridges, and Boone County's Maplewood Farm, the home of Margaret Garner, whose story was the inspiration for Toni Morrison's Beloved.

Feb. 25/26: Program 1713—A teenager's book about his hometown of Hopkinsville, a trip into the Daniel Boone National Forest with a wilderness survival expert, and Junkyard Pottery in McCreary County.

Monday, Jan. 2: Program 1429—Hofbrauhaus Newport, Martin County artist Lisa Williamson, and Wolf Run Wildlife Refuge. Watch online.

Monday, Jan. 16: Program 1430—Civil War re-enactors along Pike County’s Russell Fork, Chaney’s Dairy in Warren County, and a memorial to the great racehorse John Henry. Watch online.

Monday, Feb. 20: Program 1431—Vocalist and guitarist Jose Rivera, Mountain Pleasure Horses, and the Loretto Motherhouse. Watch online.
