This script is from a December 2002 edition of News Quiz. The notations in black were made by producer Luralyn Lahr during a rehearsal for the program. They mark where copy can be cut if the show is running past its allotted length, indicate where pre-taped video segments need to be inserted, and remind her of other things she’ll need to remember during the live production.
For this example, Luralyn has added some “notes on the notes”—explanations for some of her own script notes—which are marked in purple.
