Kumble Subbaswamy
Kumble Subbaswamy became the second provost of the University of Kentucky in 2006. A native of India, he came to Indiana Universiyt as a graduate student in 1971, where he completed his doctorate in theoretical condensed matter physics in 1976. After serving as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of California, Irvine, he joined the UK physics faculty in 1978.
