Harrison was named president and chief executive officer of CPB in June 2005. As part of a tour of local stations designed to help her get to know the public broadcasting community, Harrison visited Kentucky in April 2006 to learn more about KET’s services. Prior to joining the CPB, she served in the Bush administration in the State Department. She was also a founder and president of the National Women’s Economic Alliance and a founding partner of E. Bruce Harrison Co., a public affairs firm.
