One to One with Bill Goodman

Former Washington Post writer Walt Harrington, author of The Everlasting Stream: A True Story of Rabbits, Guns, Friendship, and Family, sits down with host Bill Goodman to discuss some of the lessons he learned during 15 years of rabbit hunting with his father-in-law and his friends in southcentral Kentucky.

In crisp, sometimes poetic prose that brings autumn mornings crackling to life, The Everlasting Stream shares the experiences that led Harrington to a new notion of the good life. Even as he enjoyed dinner at the White House with foreign leaders and political heavyweights, he found himself longing for the hills and hollows that his Kentucky good ol’s boys knew almost as well as the calls of their dogs.

In November 2006, KET premiered The Everlasting Stream, a documentary based on Harrington’s book in which the author and his hunting buddies visit some of their favorite places in Barren County and talk about the evolution of their friendship.
