The Kentucky Community and Technical College System includes 16 colleges and 68 campuses serving over 100,000 students. According to KCTCS, preliminary figures show that the number of students enrolled system-wide this spring is up 18 percent compared to spring 2009. McCall discusses how community colleges provide training to help people find jobs.

McCall has been traveling across the state during the last few weeks to rally support for KCTCS. There will be a KCTCS rally at the Capitol in Frankfort on Feb. 25 for supporters to advocate for more state funding.

McCall also discusses President Obama's proposed American Graduation Initiative, which would provide more federal funding to community colleges.
