Consultant Rebecca Ryan talks about how cities can design a clear strategy to attract and retain the best and brightest of a young, talented work force. Ryan, author of the 2002 report "Hot Jobs—Cool Communities," researches the interests of adults ages 20-40 to help employers learn how to make their workplaces more engaging for younger employees.
The Creative Cities Summit, held in Lexington in April 2010, brought together leading thinkers from across the nation to address a variety of topics, including entrepreneurship, community design, and civic engagement. The target audience included economic developers, artists, architects, students, and young professionals.
