State Rep. Rocky Adkins, who represents Elliott and Lawrence counties and parts of Boyd and Rowan counties, has served in the House since 1987. He was recently appointed vice chair of the Southern States Energy Board by its chairman, West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin, who called Adkins "the South's lead legislator on energy."
Adkins was elected by fellow Democratic legislators as House Majority Floor Leader in 2003. He maintains his own website, rockyadkins.com.
