Austin City Limits opens its 25th season with a special appearance by Garth Brooks and continues with some very special guests in the next few weeks. The country megastar's return to the Austin City Limits stage airs Friday, Feb. 11 at 10/9 p.m. CT on KET.
Garth Brooks' set includes smash country hits from his remarkable career, as well as songs from Garth Brooks in . . . the Life of Chris Gaines, the soundtrack to the upcoming film The Lamb. The one-hour program marks the first and only time on television that Brooks has mixed both country and "Chris Gaines" music in the same show.
The following weeks on Austin City Limits also promise quite a bit of musical punch. Blues powerhouses Robert Cray and Doyle Bramhall II present a "power hour" of blues, rock and R & B, Friday, Feb. 18 at 10/9 p.m. CT on KET.
Then, country superstar Clint Black demonstrates why he is one of the most highly respected artists in the business, Friday, Feb. 25 at 10/9 p.m. CT. His one-hour special includes material from the early years of his career, as well as numerous songs from his most recent record, D'lectrified.
