Tim Farmer continues his journey as Kentucky's outdoor everyman during TeleFund 2000, as KET presents a two-hour special, Kentucky Afield: In the Woods and On the Water, airing Saturday, March 11 at 8/7 p.m. CT on KET and KET2. The fun includes a primitive squirrel hunt, a pheasant and quail hunt in the snow and the reintroduction of elk into Eastern Kentucky.
The special's highlight is a visit from rocker/hunter Ted "The Motor City Madman" Nugent. Farmer and Nugent prove that even "weekend warriors" can enjoy Kentucky's great outdoors.
Kentucky Afield: In the Woods and On the Water is produced by KET and the Kentucky Department for Fish and Wildlife Resources. David Gibson is producer and director. The program is closed-captioned for the deaf and hard-of-hearing. Viewers can find out more about programming on KET by visiting the KET Web site at http://www.ket.org, a Kentucky.com affiliate.
