For Release: February 21st, 2000
KET and KET2 go pop, Sunday, March 12 as James Taylor, The Four Tops and the Bee Gees showcase their spectacular, era-defining music.
First up at 6/5 p.m. CT, James Taylor Live! brings a dose of blue-eyed soul from the 1970s' favorite "Handy Man." Other hits featured include "Fire and Rain," "Carolina In My Mind" and "Sweet Baby James."
Next, at 8/7 p.m. CT, The Four Tops in Concert showcases the legendary group's string of hits about love, happiness and romantic heartbreak. Classics such as "Baby I Need Your Lovin'," "Same Old Song" and "Can't Help Myself" light up the screen.
Rounding out this musical evening is Bee Gees: One Night Only at 9:30/8:30 p.m. CT. In a glossy musical and visual event, the Bee Gees perform their most popular singles. From their psychedelic beginnings in the '60s through their reign as disco kings in the '70s and a string of big hits throughout the '80s and '90s, the Bee Gees' signature harmony remains the thread that ties it all together. This very special evening of music includes an appearance by Canadian diva Celine Dion.
James Taylor Live! is produced by Hangnail Productions. The Four Tops in Concert is produced by WPBT/Miami. Bee Gees: One Night Only is produced by HBO. All programs are closed-captioned for the deaf and hard-of-hearing. Viewers can find out more about programming on KET by visiting the KET Web site at http://www.ket.org, a Kentucky.com affiliate.
