Two of the most important musical acts from the 1970s prove their relevance to the 21st century, Monday, March 20 on KET and KET2.
Airing at 8/7 p.m. CT, José Feliciano: A Legend in Concert showcases the man who forged a new path for Latino artists to the top-40 charts during the early 1970s. Bringing his passionate style and virtuoso guitar playing to the forefront, this special captures Feliciano in a spirited performance. Recorded in New York City, the concert includes a range of original material and several of Feliciano's extraordinary interpretations--with lyrics in both Spanish and English.
Next up at 9:30/8:30 p.m. CT, Steely Dan, An In the Spotlight Special brings the riveting sounds of the pop/jazz legend to the small screen. With Walter Brecker and Donald Fagen at its core, Steely Dan combines its distinctive vocals and cool jazz with pristine production for a timeless pop-rock sound. This concert features many of the band's best-known songs from such gold and platinum albums as Pretzel Logic, Aja and Countdown to Ecstasy, plus their first studio recording in 20 years, Two Against Nature.
