One to One hosts Centre College president John Roush

Centre College's president, John Roush, is Bill Goodman's guest on the next edition of One to One, airing Friday, Jan. 12 at 10/9 p.m. CT on KET2 and Sunday, Jan. 14 at 2/1 p.m. CT on KET1.

Roush took office in 1998 as the 20th president of Centre College, located in Danville, where he has overseen the creation of 15 new endowed professorships. He was instrumental in the creation of the Centre Scholars Program to honor outstanding work at the junior faculty rank and completed a $24 million addition to and renovation of Crounse Hall, the college's primary academic space.

Roush began his career in higher education at Miami University as an assistant football coach in 1972 and entered administration there in 1976, becoming an executive assistant to the president. He has served at the University of Richmond, where he was vice president for planning. In addition to his work in higher education, Roush was a captain in the U.S. Army, Military Intelligence. He is a regular speaker and contributor to professional journals on the topics of leadership, governance and finance in higher education and intercollegiate sports.
