The math section of KET's GED Connection series has been translated into Spanish and is now airing Wednesdays at 1 p.m./noon CT on KET1. This is the first portion of what will be a complete GED Connection en Español.
GED Connection prepares learners for the GED exam. The math series gives cross-disciplinary practice, explains how to interpret charts and graphs, demonstrates the scientific calculator that is used on the first part of the math test, and provides instruction and practice on the grid answer formats. Some of the programs included are "Solución de Problemas," "Fracciones," "Relación, Proporción y Porcentaje" and "Geometría."
Bill Wilson, KET deputy executive director of education and outreach, said "We are very pleased to announce that the Spanish translation of GED Connection is underway with the launch of the math series. More than one million people nationally have earned their GED using KET's study program, and now Kentucky's Spanish-speaking population can begin to enjoy that same advantage."
