KE T's TeleFund 2007 continues concert specials, travels from Northern Kentucky to Irish countryside

TeleFund 2007 enters its second week with more outstanding musical performances, insights into Kentucky history and culture and visits to beautiful locations around the world.

Great Performances brings viewers some of the best from the music world with "Jerry Lee Lewis: Last Man Standing" and "A Tribute to James Taylor . " Lewis performs duets with Willie Ne lson, Norah Jones, John Fogerty and B uddy Guy , among others , in an exhilarating new concert performance, airing Sunday, March 11 at 9/8 p.m. CT on KET2. Sting, Keith Urban, India Arie, Bonnie Raitt, the Dixie Chicks, Sheryl Crow and Bruce Springsteen perform James Taylor's songs on "A Tribute to James Taylor , " airing Tuesday, March 1 3 at 8/7 p.m. CT on KET1.

Kenny Rogers: The Journey , which airs Saturday, March 10 at 3/2 p.m. CT and Monday, March 12 at 8/7 p.m. CT on KET1, combines concert footage with an intimate unveiling of Kenny Rogers' life story. The program features hit songs "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town," "Lucille" and "The Gambler."

Hosts Jerry Butler, Johnny Maestro and Alan Freed (in archival clips) present hits by beloved doo wop stars, mixing new performances with classic gems on Doo Wop Cavalcade: The Definitive Anthology , airing Friday, March 16 at 9/8 p.m. CT on KET1.

In addition to all the wonderful music featured during TeleFund , KET presents an in-depth examination of one of Kentucky's most fascinating regions. Where the River Bends: A History of Northern Kentucky explores the social and historical events that contributed to the evolution of Northern Kentucky , beginning some 100,000 years ago with the shifting of the Ohio River to its current course . The program f ollow s the area's history through the arrival of Native Americans, European explorers and settlers, the Civil War, Reconstruction, the Depression and up to the present day. Where the River Bends is the first extensive documentary to focus on Kentucky's Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties. The program, narrated by Nick Clooney, airs Sunday, March 11 at 7/6 p.m. CT on KET1 and Thursday, March 15 at 7/6 p.m. CT on KET2.

TeleFund 2007 also takes viewers to Sligo, Belfast, Galway and Dublin as Visions of Ireland reveals "40 shades of green . " The program explores timeless country glens, abundant fishing ports, the famous golf courses of Kerry and Cork and much more . Visions of Ireland airs Tuesday, March 13 at 10/9 p.m. CT on KET1.
