Trends affecting Kentucky's future were the focus of the Kentucky Long-Term Policy Research Center ' s 1 3 th - annual conference in L exington last November. Viewers can hear what experts at the conference had to say about the economic and intellectual development of Kentucky cities in Measures and Milestones , airing Sun day, April 1 at 10 / 9 p.m. CT on KET1.
The program provides an overview of the conference, which presente d sessions on the future of Kentucky's economy, health, aging populations, technology, education, the environment, immigration and agriculture.
A panel discussion featured in the program about the role of civic leadership in a prosperous future for Kentucky include s the following participants: Sylvia Lovely, executive director/chief executive officer of the Kentucky League of Cities and president of the NewCities Institute; Gloria McCall, vice chancellor for the Kentucky Community and Technical College System; Tom Prather, executive vice president of the NewCities Institute; and Malcolm Wall, KET executive director.
