Earlier this month, athletes from around the state participated in the Winter Bluegrass State Games, o ne of the Commonwealth's biggest sporting events . T housands of Kentuckians competed for me d als in a wide array of sports . Bluegrass State Games: Winter 2007 presents h ighlights of all the fun and excitement of the wint er games . The program airs Sunday, April 8 at 4:30 / 3:30 p.m. CT on KET2 and at 10:30/9:30 p.m. CT on KET1.
Bluegrass State Games: Winter 200 7 covers some of the best moments from the events, including archery, basketball, bowling, cheering/dancing, chess, disc golf, fencing, flag football, martial arts, racquetball , shooting, volleyball and a 5K road race.
The Bluegrass State Games is a non-profit program sponsored privately to promote amateur athletics across the Commonwealth. It is designed to provide Kentuckians of all ages and skill levels an avenue for positive development through sports and physical activity, to promote and develop amateur athletics , and to provide amateur athletes an opportunity to showcase their talent and receive statewide recognition.
