K ET won six b ronze Tellys in the 27th Annual Telly Awards, which recognize the very best local, regional, and cable television programs and commercials, as well as the finest in video and film production.KET's 2006 documentary The Everlasting Stream , based on the memoir of the same name by Walt Harrington, received three bronze Telly Awards: in the cultural documentary category, for videography and for graphics/animation. Producers Walt Harrington and Timothy Bischoff, co-producer and videographer Matt Grimm, videographer John Breslin and graphic artist Clark Bradshaw were recognized.
John Schroering won a b ronze Telly for videography for the Electronic Field Trip to Fort Harrod and Fort Boonesborough , a visit to the two reconstructed 18th-century settlements , designed for use in fourth t hrough eighth grade social studies classrooms.
Frank Simkonis received two b ronze Telly Awards for videography. He received one for the "Earth Trek" segment on News Quiz , KET's weekly current-events television program for upper elementary/middle school students, and one for Art to Heart , an eight-part KET production that explores the importance of the arts in the lives of young children.
