James Baker III, former Secretary of State and co-chair of the Iraq Study Group, will be interviewed by John King, CNN's chief national correspondent, on the next Kentucky Author Forum Presents , airing Sunday, May 20 at 10:30/9:30 p.m. CT on KET1 and Wednesday, May 23 at 10/9 p.m. CT on KET2.

Baker has served in senior government positions under three United States p residents. He served as the nation ' s 61st s ecretary of s tate, from January 1989 through August 1992, under President George H. W. Bush, traveling to 90 foreign countries as the U.S. confronted the challenges and opportunities of the post-Cold War era.

Baker ' s long and distinguished record of public service began in 1975 as unders ecretary of c ommerce to President Gerald Ford. He served first as White House c hief of s taff, then as s ecretary of the t reasury under President Ro nald Reagan.

Baker takes readers into 35 years behind the scenes in his new book, Work Hard, Study...and Keep Out of Politics!

Baker will be interviewed by John King, CNN ' s chief national correspondent. King has been responsible for reporting on a range of stories for CNN in the United States and abroad. He has covered the last four presidential elections and has conducted one-on-one interviews with an array of senior officials, including President George W. Bush, f irst l ady Laura Bush, President Bill Clinton and Prime Minister Tony Blair. King was CNN ' s lead reporter covering Vice President Al Gore in the closing weeks of the 2000 presidential campaign.
