Viewers can discover why a group of businessmen want to "keep Louisville weird" and meet Louisville media personality Susan Sweeney Crum on the next edition of Louisville Life , airing Thursday, May 24 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT and Sunday, May 27 at noon/11 a.m. CT on KET2. Hosted by Candyce Clifft, the program also features a profile of Metro Neighborhoods Department and an interview with Stan Curtis, who's worked with the biggest names in show business to produce USA Harvest.
First, Louisville Life takes a look at Keep Louisville Weird, a grassroots public awareness campaign begun by a small but growing coalition of independent Louisville business owners working to help Louisville retain its special flavor.
Next, Susan Sweeney Crum of Louisville's Public Radio Partnership, who began her career in radio, moving later to WHAS-TV television, is profiled. Her years in news include 15 years reporting and anchoring at WDRB-TV and launching its early newscast. A Louisville native, in 2001 she married retired Louisville Cardinals basketball coach Denny Crum.
In the next segment, viewers find out about Louisville Metro Government's Department of Neighborhoods and learn what the department is doing to connect the community, assist residents and make government more accessible.
Candyce then interviews Stan Curtis, who ha s rubbed elbows with Green Day, the Goo Goo Dolls and Hilary Duff--and fed millions in the process through his work with USA Harvest.
Finally, Louisville Life features the rare cast-iron façade buildings along West Main Street.
