T he Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has nominated KET for eight regional Emmy Awards.Producers Gary Pahler and Jayne McClew received nominations in the Magazine Program category for Louisville Life , KET's newest series which explores the many interesting people, places and events of Kentucky's largest city . Robert Pickering also received a nomination for set design for Louisville Life .
Duncan Hart, Cindy Asher, Anna Gordon and Mary Duncan received nominations in the Education/Schools category for News Quiz , KET's weekly current-events television series for upper elementary/middle school students .
In the Health/Science/Environment category, producer Brandon Wickey received a nomination for a Kentucky Life segment featuring Greenup County's Jesse Stuart State Nature Preserve.
Producers Walt Harrington, Timothy Bischoff and Matt Grimm received nominations in the Cultural documentary category for KET's 2006 documentary The Everlasting Stream , based on the memoir of the same name by Harrington . Harrington also received a nomination as writer of the program.
In the I mage P romo category, Timothy Bischoff received two nominations, one for "It's about Kentucky" and one for the "Homepage Spot."

The M idwestern R egional Emmy awards recognize excellence in the areas of local news, programming and individual achievement and is considered to be one of the industry ' s highest honors. The Ohio Valley Chapter includes 1 3 television markets from a four-state region, including parts of Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana and Kentucky. The awards ceremony will take place Saturday, June 23 in Columbus, Oh io .
