Old Louisville Express display s a range of bluegrass styles on the next Jubilee , airing Wednesday, June 6 at 8/7 p.m. CT on KET1. The five-member group performs traditional and progressive bluegrass, mournful ballads and fast-paced ditties. The ir performance w as recorded at the Kentucky Bluegrass Music Festival in Louisville.
Members of Old Louisville Express are Tony Myers on mandolin and lead vocals, Bobby Wilson on fiddle, Joe Kelmel on bass, Josh Richardson on guitar and Bobby Austin on banjo. The band's major influence s are the traditional music of Bill Monroe and the contemporary bluegrass of Bowling Green native Sam Bush.
