Viewers find out who's got the upper hand when Louisville Life profiles world-renowned hand surgeons Joseph Kutz and Harold Kleinert as well as Louisville businesswoman Debbie Scoppechio of Creative Alliance. The program airs Thursday, June 28 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT and Sunday, Ju ly 1 at noon/11 a.m. CT on KET2. Hosted by Candyce Clifft, the program also features downtown bicycle racks and two new books about Louisville's past.

First, Louisville Life features Joseph Kutz and Harold Kleinert, remarkable surgeons known the world over for their work on the hand, including the first hand transplant in the United States. This segment provides a look at their work and a little about their lives away from the operating room.

Next, security meets art for bicyclists in downtown Louisville. Louisville Life introduces some of the people behind the bicycle racks that would be equally at home in a museum.

Then, Candyce interviews Debbie Scoppechio, chairwoman and CEO of Creative Alliance Inc. advertising agency. She's one of Kentucky's top women business owners and a Louisville icon. Discover how she made her way from tap dancing on The Ed Sullivan Show to one of the city's leading advertising executives.

Next, the program introduces two new books about Louisville providing a look at the city's past and a yardstick for the future: Historic Photos of Louisville and Louisville Then and Now .

The program concludes with a barrel of facts about a Louisville business that's an important part of the bourbon-making process -- Blue Grass Cooperage, which produces new American white oak barrels for the production of spirits and wine.
