A new season of Mystery! kicks off when Robert Lindsay returns as Chief Inspector Michael Jericho, a revered Scotland Yard detective, in a stylish series that unfolds during the turbulent social upheaval of the 1950s. "Jericho, Series II" airs Sundays, June 3 and 10, at 9/8 p.m. CT on KET1 and Thursdays, June 7 and 14, at 9/8 p.m. CT on KET2. The cast includes David Troughton and Ciaran McMenamin ." Jericho ' To Murder and Create ' " begins with the brutal Valentine's Day slaying of a distinguished scientist involved in atomic weapons research. The murder may have been politically motivated or the work of an overzealous hate mail writer interested in derailing his scientific work . Suddenly , more murders committed in a similar fashion are popping up around London. Suspecting the killings are connected to the scientist , Jericho and his team must race against the clock to catch the murderer .
Then, in " Jericho ' The Hollow Men , ' " when smog envelops London, bringing the city to a standstill, a serial killer begins targeting courting couples. The press suspects it to be the work of " The Butcher, " believed to be responsible for a series of unsolved murders from the 1930s. Jericho traces the murders back to a cinema where the couples had seen the same film prior to their deaths. Deadly secrets reveal themselves as Jericho's team investigates further.
Mystery! "Jericho, Series II" is produced by WGBH/Boston . More information about KET programming and education services, as well as how to support KET, can be found at www.ket.org.
