KET wins three regional Emmy Awards
K ET has been awarded three regional Emmy Awards from the Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Producers Gary Pahler and Jayne McClew received Emmys in the Magazine Program category for Louisville Life . This weekly series showcase s Louisville's cultural scene, including the arts, history, architecture, foods, community events and traditions. Louisville Life airs Thursdays at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2.

Writer Walt Harrington received an Emmy for his work on The Everlasting Stream , a documentary based on Harrington's memoir of the same name. The program recalls Walt's first hunting trip with his father-in-law, Alex, in Barren County. Apprehensive at first, Walt eventually c o me s to appreciate the value of the old-fashioned friendship s he discovers during many years of Thanksgiving morning rabbit hunts . PBS recently announced that the program will be included in their national schedule later this fall.

Finally, producer Timothy Bischoff received an Emmy in the Image category for the "Homepage Spot," a short promotional piece animated by Mike Ginter.

KET Executive Director Malcolm Wall said, " The Emmy is the most recognized industry award for personal professional accomplishment . KET is honored that its production work for the people of the Commonwealth is seen as exemplary.
