Chris Corbin, executive director of the Get Healthy Kentucky (GHK) program, and Rick Hatcher, president of Lexington Area Sports Authority (LASA) and member of the board of directors for the Bluegrass State Games, are Bill Goodman's guests on the next One to One . The program airs Friday, July 13 at 10/9 p.m. CT on KET2 and Sunday, July 15 at 2/1 p.m. CT on KET1.Corbin discusses GHK, which is operated by the Governor's Office of Wellness and Physical Activity . The mission of GHK is to help Kentuckians lead healthier, more active lifestyles and improve the overall quality of life in the Commonwealth. These goals led to the program's sponsorship of the 2007 Bluegrass State Games, an annual event that draws thousands of Kentucky athletes of all ages and skill levels to compete in a broad range of sporting events.
Hatcher discusses not only the Bluegrass State Games, but also his role in the creation of LASA, the first sports commission in Kentucky, in 1998 . Since then, LASA has assisted in bidding and securing, marketing, promoting and hosting of such events as the Cincinnati 2012 Olympic bid effort, the World Equestrian Games 2006 and 2010 and the NAIA Men ' s and Women ' s National Tennis Championships, among others .
