Matt Fellowes of the Brookings Institute, an adjunct professor of public policy at Georgetown University in Washington, is Bill Goodman's guest on the next edition of One to One , airing Friday, July 27 at 10/9 p.m. CT on KET2 and Sunday, July 29 at 2/1 p.m. CT on KET1.

An expert in consumer finances, financial services policy, U.S. social policy and Gulf Coast recovery, Fellowes holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master's in public policy from Georgetown University. He is the author of The High Price of Being Poor in Kentucky , in which he reveals that Kentucky's working families frequently pay a premium for everyday necessities and lower-income workers are more likely to pay double-digit interest rates for auto loans, among other inequities.

In this program, Goodman and Fellowes discuss his research on poverty in America, credit reports and scores, rebuilding the Gulf Coast and other topics.

One to One is a KET production, produced by Bill Goodman. The program is closed-captioned for the deaf and hard-of-hearing. Following the broadcast, One to One is available for on-demand videostream viewing at www.ket.org/publicaffairs/onetoone.htm and podcasting at www.ket.org/rss.
