Photographer John Nation, who has spent more than 30 years on the staff of Louisville Magazine , is featured on the next edition of Louisville Life . The program, which airs Thursday, Aug. 16 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT and Sunday, Aug. 19 at noon/11 a.m. CT on KET2, also features Louisville's devotion to its pets, a profile of Muth's Candies and an interview with the president of Junior Achievement Kentuckiana. Candyce Clifft hosts.
First, Louisville Life features Louisville Magazine photographer John Nation and views a retrospective of his images at the University of Louisville Photo Archives.
Next, Louisville Life presents a look at Dog Day in the Park and Louisville's "pampered pet community." The program visits Barkstown, a day care and boarding facility for pets that also offers a coffee shop (for humans) and other amenities.
Then, the program visits an east Market S treet shop that's been catering to Louisville chocolate lovers since just after World War I, Muth's Candies. In this segment, viewers discover a great family story about three sisters who keep the business running by offering a wide array of homemade treats.
Next, Candyce interviews Debra Hoffer, president of Junior Achievement Kentuckiana, an organization whose purpose since 1919 has been to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise and understand business and economics.
Finally, Louisville Life discovers the seemingly boundless beauty in the 6,000-plus acres of the Jefferson Memorial Forest.
