Louisville Life digs up the dirt in the next program, a iring Thursday, Aug. 30 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT and Sunday, Sept. 2 at noon/11 a.m. CT on KET2 . T he program , hosted by Candyce Clifft, also features columnist Beverly Bartlett and a visit to the Falls of the Ohio .
First, viewers meet Jeneen Wiche, who may be proof that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Her father, longtime Louisville broadcaster Fred Wiche, became a local legend as "The Weekend Gardener." After his death in 1998, Jeneen picked up the baton and began writing his syndicated garden column. She also shares the microphone with Courier-Journal columnist Bob Hill on their weekly radio show, Home Grown .
Next, people are networking for a more sustainable Louisville. Louisville Life meets the founders of the Louisville Sustainability Forum and its corporate and religious connections with "Breaking New Grounds" and the "Earth & Spirit Center."
Then , Beverly Bartlett, a busy Louisville mom and popular author, talks about her writing, which includes a weekly presence in the Louisville Courier-Journal as the "Mom Matters" columnist.
Next, Candyce interviews Ted Pullen, Louisville's director of public works and assets, who discusses the city's recycling efforts.
Finally, one of the largest conservation efforts in the Louisville area is featured -- the Falls of the Ohio, home to one of the largest exposed fossil coral reefs in the world.
