She then returns to Paris, planning to ask her husband Charles for a divorce, but finds their flat empty and all their possessions sold.

On Sept. 8 , l egendary band leader brothers Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey play themselves in The Fabulous Dorseys , a tune-filled bio - drama that follows the duo ' s careers and at-times stormy relationship. Based on the Gogol play, The Inspector General , airing Sept. 29, stars Danny Kaye as a medicine show flunky who ' s mistaken for a high-ranking government agent by the corrupt officials of a small European villag e. Walter Slezak, Barbara Bates and Elsa Lanchester co-star.
