Using classic fairy tales with a breakthrough interactive approach to teaching rea ding, the new children's program SuperWHY! may not be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound , but it can foster a lifelong love of reading. This and three other fun new series join KET's children's line-up beginning in September.
Created by the producer of Blue's Clues , each fantastical episode of SuperWHY! invites young viewers to dive directly into a pop-up book to experience a brightly illustrated children's tale magically brought to life. It airs weekdays and Sundays at 9/8 a.m. CT and Saturdays at 8/7 a.m. CT on KET1.
Other new programs on KET's kids schedule include Mama Mirabelle's Home Movies , a warm-hearted, high-spirited show about a sassy, soulful elephant host and the young animal characters she cares for on the African savanna. Produced by National Geographic, the program airs Saturdays at 6/5 a.m. CT on KET2.
WordGirl chronicles the adventures of a mild-mannered fifth grader who transforms into a caped crusader and definition dynamo. It airs Fridays at 7/6 a.m. CT on KET 2 and 4:30/3:30 p.m. CT on KET1 and Saturdays at 11/10 a.m. CT on KET2 .
And finally, WordWorld , a colorful, word-rich place where friends have fun and meet challenges through word play, airs weekdays at 11:30/10:30 a.m. CT on KET1.
