U.S. Rep. Geoff Davis is Bill Goodman's guest on the next One to One , airing Sunday, Oct. 7 at 2/1 p.m. CT on KET1 and Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2. Davis, a Republican, who serves Kentucky ' s 4th district, d iscusses his military career, starting his own business and his time in Congress.During his A rmy career, Davis served as an assault helicopter flight commander in the 82nd Airborne Division and later served in the Middle East , where he ran U.S. Army aviation operations for peace enforcement between Israel and Egypt. Davis is also a former A rmy ranger and senior parachutist.
In 1992, Davis started his own business, a c onsulting firm specializing in lean manufacturing and high technology systems integration. Davis explains how his role as a small businessman has assisted him in Congress.
Davis also discusses his time in Congress, including serving on the armed services committee, the financial services committee and many subcommittees.
