William Powell, Irene Dunne and Elizabeth Taylor star in the story of a straitlaced turn-of-the-century father who presides over a family of boys and their mother, who really rules the roost, in the KET Movie Classics presentation of Life with Father, airing Saturday, Nov. 3 and Friday, Nov. 9. Movie Classics air Saturdays at 9/8 p.m. CT on KET1 and repeat Fridays at 9/8 p.m. CT on KET2.
My Man Godfrey is next up in November. The film tells the story of a zany heiress who tries to help a tramp by making him the family butler. William Powell and Carole Lombard star in the movie airing Saturday, Nov. 10 and Friday, Nov. 16.
In Royal Wedding, a brother-and-sister musical team (Fred Astaire and Jane Powell), each find romance when they travel to London for Elizabeth II's wedding. It airs Saturday, Nov. 17 and Friday, Nov. 23.
In Charade, Regina "Reggie" Lampert, played by Audrey Hepburn, meets a charming stranger calling himself Peter Joshua (Cary Grant) while on a skiing holiday in Megève. She then returns to Paris, planning to ask her husband, Charles, for a divorce, but finds their flat empty and all their possessions sold. It airs Friday, Nov. 30.
